Joy Black Soap release came as a surprise to many because the brand is no longer as popular as way back and they are known for normal bar soaps that doesn’t really do much to the skin apart from cleansing, moisturizing and maintaining your natural skin color.

All joy soaps are manufactured by PZ Cussons, a popular international brand known for quality products. So when I got to know about their new variant black soap, I was amazed and also excited to try out my former favorite brand. Now let me tell you how I got to know about this black soap.

I went to the market in search of Eva moringa soap and I couldn’t find it after asking around all the cosmetics and provision shops I know sells bar soaps.

So when I finished buying everything on my list, I was going out to leave the market when I saw a man hawking soaps in a wheelbarrow and I asked him if he has Eva moringa soap and he told me that he has all the variants, so I went closer to him to take a look at it.

While I was making enquires on the current prices, a lady came towards him and said “customer that joy black soap is very good oh” and he turned to her and responded. She greeted me too and I replied with a welcoming smile.

So, I told them that I didn’t know joy brand now has a black soap and she explained to me that it was even this her customer that introduced her to it.

She said since then, joy black soap has become her favorite bathing soap, as it is suitable for the face and body. After our short conversation, I told the man to give me one of it. So that I can also give it a try and know how good it is.

I bought it together with my Eva soap and came back home. The following day I was skeptical about using it on my face because black soaps generally are not good for my face. They always dry my skin out and cause me constant breakouts.

But I convinced myself to use it on my face too, so that I can give a full and proper review and not just depend on what that lady said about joy black soap for face and body.

I have been using the joy expert care for the past 2 weeks now and I am going to be telling you everything about my experience with the soap, sincerely and without sugarcoating anything.

First and foremost, this joy black soap with shea butter and aloe vera doesn’t melt easily. It is very hard and has a rough texture because of the apricot seeds used in making it.

This soap foams a lot and doesn’t give a burning sensation no matter how long you leave it on your face. But your skin may feel dry after you wash it off but it will look moisturized even without applying anything.

It actually clears dark spots when you leave it on your skin for at least 5 minutes before washing off. Do this morning and night everyday for fast results. This joy soap doesn’t darken your skin like some other black soaps.

This joy black soap with shea butter and aloe vera really repairs your skin because I notice a good improvement in the texture of my face. My face is now smoother and doesn’t easily scar when I pop my pimples.

It also dries pimples but takes time. It gets rid of dark spots faster by exfoliating your skin to remove dead skin buildup. This soap is a very good scrub for the face and body because the apricot seeds are very obvious.

I was very scared at first because of how rough the soap feels, thinking it would bruise my skin but it didn’t and I am still surprise about that because I personally have had bad experience with soaps that have apricot seeds in them.

Finally, it is not a skin lightening soap. This joy black soap with shea butter and aloe vera is specially made to maintain the skin complexion of everyone, whether dark, chocolate, fair or white skin color. It is unisex and can be used by both gender.

You can also try dudu osun black soap, JRA black soap, or stay young black soap as an alternative.
